Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
